Who wouldn’t love to get extra helpful tips when it comes to food and drinks? Whether it be a short cut, breaking down a seemingly complex process, or discovering another practical use for something you already have.

I have had flops, mishaps, and some low moments with a few meals. But I’ve usually walked away with learning from it, and many times I find determination to come back and make it right. Like the time I tried to make spaetzle and did not have the ideal kitchen item for it, which is a perforated hotel pan. How many have one of those laying around at home? I went through a double boiler, a colander, and even a cheese grater. It was a hot mess…
